Dr. Mita A. Parikh is a dental specialist who has completed an advanced postdoctoral program, accredited by the American Dental Association, in the specialty of orthodontics. Dr. Parikh was accepted in the Muhlenberg College/University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine 3-4 BioDental Program directly upon graduating high school. She spent three years at Muhlenberg College in Allentwon, Pennsylvania followed by four years at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a B.S. degree in Biology from Muhlenberg (after completing year one of dental school) and a D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. After completing dental school she returned to New York to complete a one year general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She then went on to complete a two year postgraduate program in Orthodontics at the New York University College of Dentistry, where she received her certificate in orthodontics.
During her time at New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Parikh obtained critical specialty training to create smiles that look beautiful and last a lifetime. In addition to conventional metal braces, she has been trained to develop smiles using ceramic braces, lingual braces, and Invisalign® to meet the needs and preferences of all ages.
Prior to moving to Huntington, Dr. Parikh practiced in Woodbury, New York, taking over for a retiring orthodontist. Dr. Parikh is proud to have been an orthodontic faculty member at New York Universit College of Dentistry, where she taught diagnosis and treatment planning, growth and development, adult orthodontic treatment and clinical efficiency. She still believes herself to be a lifelong student. She is committed to keeping current with the newest advancements in the field by attending multiple continuing education courses and conferences in order to provide the best orthodontic care available for her patients.She is an active member of :

In her free time Dr. Parikh enjoys spending time with her husband and baby girl trying out new restaurants, cooking, traveling, practicing yoga, and cycling. She also loves to nurture her artistic side with photography and dabbling in different types of arts and crafts. Dr. Parikh could not be happier in New York. balancing her passion for creating beautiful smiles, and spending time with her family and friends, it is no secret that she is smiling both in and out of the office because she loves what she is doing all of the time.
