Mita A. Parikh, DMD
Education
Dr. Mita A. Parikh was accepted into the Muhlenberg College/University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine 3-4 BioDental Program after graduating high school.
She spent three years at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, followed by four years at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental medicine.
She graduated with a B.S in Biology from Muhlenberg and a D.M.D from the University of Pennsylvania.
After dental school, Dr. Parikh returned to New York to complete a one-year general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
She then completed a two-year postgraduate program in orthodontics and the New York University College of Dentistry, where she received her certificate in orthodontics.
Experience
Before moving to Huntington, Dr. Parikh practiced in Woodbury, New York, where she took over a practice from a retiring orthodontist.
Additionally, Dr. Parikh was an orthodontic faculty member at New York University College of Dentistry. She taught diagnosis and treatment planning, growth and development, adult orthodontic treatment and clinical efficiency.
Dr. Parikh is a lifelong student and is committed to staying up to date on the newest advancements in the field by attending continuing education courses and conferences.

Outside of the Office
In her free time, Dr. Parikh enjoys trying out new restaurants, cooking, traveling, practicing yoga, cycling, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
She also loves nurturing her artistic side with photography and dabbling in arts and crafts.
Dr. Parikh is smiling both in and out of the office as she balances her passion for creating beautiful smiles and spending time with her family and friends.
