You've Got Options
Most patients we treat choose traditional metal braces to straighten their teeth.
While metal braces are the most common type of orthodontic treatment, you have several other options.
After your free initial consultation, Dr. Parikh will talk to you about which treatment would be right for you based on your unique needs and smile goals.
Fixed Vs. Removable Appliances
It’s important to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances.
Fixed appliances, like braces, are attached to your teeth and aren’t taken off until you complete your treatment.
Removable appliances, like Invisalign’s aligner system, are worn about 20-22 hours a day but can be taken off easily.
Aside from the obvious differences, Invisalign aligners are best at treating mild to moderate orthodontic problems. Fixed appliances are generally needed for more serious and comprehensive treatment.
High-Tech Solutions
LightForce brackets are a high-tech way to straighten your teeth. This unique technology is completely customized for your smile to provide optimum results in minimal time.
We use 3D printing technology to create your one-of-a-kind LightForce brackets. These translucent brackets give you a more comfortable and aesthetic treatment option for your smile.
Metal Braces
Traditional metal braces are the most widely used type of fixed orthodontic appliance. Though past incarnations have been bulky, awkward, or even painful, today's metal braces are smaller, lighter, and more comfortable to wear than ever before.
Clear Braces
Ceramic braces use the same components as traditional braces, but instead of metal, the brackets on the front side of the teeth are made of see-through ceramic material.
Invisalign
Unlike traditional braces, this kind of orthodontic treatment doesn’t rely on a system of metal or ceramic brackets and wires. The Invisalign system is made up of a series of custom clear trays called aligners that are removable and nearly invisible.
Lingual Braces
Lingual braces, sometimes called hidden braces, are a new way to wear braces. These braces are custom-made to fit the back of your teeth.
